Eye Didn't Know That! was created to help people of all ages learn more about healthy vision. The program was developed by a team that includes eye care professionals, science and education experts, and Transitions Optical, Inc.

As part of the program, Transitions partnered with the Carnegie Science Center of Pittsburgh, PA, to produce the Eye Didn't Know That! exhibit, traveled to 13 science centers across North America. The 800- to 1,200-square-foot exhibit featured fun activities, interactive kiosks, and a short video to teach children and their families the fundamentals about eyes and how they see.

Visitors explored the wonders of the visible and invisible light spectrum; learned about the dangers of UV radiation and glare and how to protect against them; looked through a cataract; and saw how corrective and photochromic lenses work.

The exhibit is the first of its kind in the industry. Thousands of visitors toured the exhibit in each city. Following the tour, the exhibit was donated to the Carnegie Science Center in Pittsburgh.
